In the majority of cases the teacher/tutor has responsibility for the assessment of learner evidence. This means that in addition to teaching/delivering a programme you will also have responsibility for assessing, marking and grading the learner evidence. There are some steps you can follow to help you to plan how and when you are going to assess your learners.

1. Know the following:

2. In the provider's programme module refer to the mapping of learning outcomes to assessment techniques

3. Participate in planning meetings with your colleagues

4. Write:

* Write an integrated assessment brief, if appropriate

6. Keep records and documentation relating to assessment

7. Comply with all relevant assessment requirements
