Coaching in Further Education and Training (FET): A Transformative Approach for Stakeholders

This interactive two-hour online workshop introduces coaching as a valuable tool for leadership development, staff engagement, and professional growth in the FET sector. Aimed at middle leaders and aspiring senior leaders across diverse FET settings (including Further Education Colleges, Training Centres, VTOS, Youthreach, Prison Education, and Adult Education), the session explores what coaching is and how it can be embedded to support individuals and FET centres through ongoing change.

• Core coaching principles and key coaching skills
• Introduction to the GROW model and coaching conversations
• Real-life examples of coaching in FET contexts

Facilitation: Pat Maunsell
Pat Maunsell is a former FET Principal with experience in both education and industry, Pat offers practical insights and deep knowledge of coaching, leadership and change within FET.

Follow-up Assessment Clinic - 8 May 2025

This one hour online clinic is designed as a follow-up  support to complement the recently delivered suite of 5 PD sessions focusing on locally devised assessment. This clinic will provide an opportunity for FET practitioners to pose any locally-devised assessment questions and queries that they may have. An informal approach will be adopted for this session where the clinic will be participant-led, which will allow for the sharing and discussion of ideas. These clinics will be hosted on Zoom and the link will be emailed to participants in advance of the event.
