Supporting the Wellbeing of FET Staff in Leadership or Co-ordination Roles (Piper's Hill, Naas)

This one day seminar will explore key themes that are relevant to FET staff in leadership or co-ordination roles.

Shane Martin will explore resilience, bouncibility and personal care and well-being. He will provide insight into our potential to cope during challenging times, the science of the survivor and how to thrive despite adversity. Shane is a Chartered Psychologist of the Psychological Society of Ireland and is dedicated to teaching the very best self-help psychology to empower people to enhance the quality of their lives. His ‘Moodwatchers’ psychology course has been delivered the length and breadth of Ireland. He is the author of ‘Your Precious Life -How to Live it Well’


Jacinta Kitt will explore how to create and maintain a positive and effective work environment; the power of positive leadership and how to achieve it. Jacinta has over twenty years’ experience as a teacher, communicator and facilitator where she has spoken about the positive work environment, the toxicity of conflict and bullying in the workplace, accessible skills of communication, emotional and social intelligence, negotiation and facilitation, as well as the qualities of humour and humility that make for successful leadership. She is author of ‘Positive Behaviours, Relationships and Emotions: The Heart of Leadership in a School’
